About Frank Able

Frank Able writes tech thrillers about systems, power, and the people caught between them.

His stories explore the hidden machinery behind modern society: financial networks, software platforms, incentives, institutions, and the quiet decisions that shape the lives of millions.

Frank's debut novel, The Chain, follows Mats Frost, a developer whose digital currency was meant to set people free. The money behind it belongs to people who do not, and now criminals own his release schedule. Every commit leaves a trace, and every fix creates a new hostage.

Behind the pen name is a software architect, entrepreneur, and former fintech CTO who has spent more than twenty-five years building large-scale distributed systems, payment platforms, and infrastructure for regulated industries.

The technology in his novels is grounded in reality; the characters, events, and organizations are imagined.

Frank lives in Sweden and divides his time between writing, software, and long walks where reasonable ideas become increasingly unreasonable.

The pen name

The pen name keeps the fiction separate from the professional work and lets the stories stand on their own. The novels explore power, incentives, technology, and human nature through people under pressure.
